An impressive and easy-to-make dish, perfect for Father's Day gatherings. Using a whole organic chicken, seasoned and cooked with beer, it becomes a showstopper on the grill or smoker.

1: Drizzle avocado oil onto the chicken and rub it in. 2: Season the chicken with salt and pepper. 3: Mix garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and Italian seasoning. 4: Generously rub the seasoning onto the chicken and inside its cavity. 5: Place half a lemon into the cavity of the chicken. 6: In a cast iron skillet, add halved potatoes and season with oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and Italian seasoning. 7: Push potatoes to the outer perimeter of the pan. 8: Pour 1/4 of the beer into the bottom of the cast iron. 9: Place the beer can in the center of the skillet and insert garlic cloves into the beer can. 10: Carefully lower the chicken onto the beer can. 11: Add sliced lemon rounds to the potatoes. 12: Place the skillet on the smoker or grill at 350° for 65-80 minutes. 13: Baste the chicken with melted butter or drippings. 14: Remove the skillet from the smoker and let the chicken rest for 10-20 minutes. 15: Carefully remove the beer can before carving.
