Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a mini-donut pan with butter.
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
In a separate bowl, mix together the butter, sugar, maple syrup, eggs, and buttermilk until smooth.
Pour the dry ingredients into the wet and stir until you have a smooth donut batter.
Pour batter into a gallon ziploc bag, squeeze out excess air, and close it. Cut the bottom corner tip off to pipe the batter.
Pipe the donut batter into the well-greased donut pan, filling it 3/4 full, and tap the pan on the counter to release air bubbles.
Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes.
Invert the pan onto a cooling rack and tap out the donuts. Let them cool completely before glazing.
For the glaze, whisk together the ingredients until smooth and shiny. If the glaze is too thick, add a teaspoon more of heavy cream.
Dip each donut top into the glaze and then top with crumbled bacon. Let the glaze set for 10 minutes before enjoying.
