This homemade bone broth is nutritious and easy to prepare. It's perfect as a base for soups or for cooking pasta or ramen noodles. A great way to nourish yourself during colder months!
Add the chicken, vegetables, herbs, garlic, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper to a dutch oven (or slow cooker).
Fill pot with water until ingredients are covered (approx 8-10 cups of water).
Bring everything to a boil, and then reduce to a simmer and place the lid on.
Let everything simmer for 60-75 minutes (on high for 4-6 hours for slow cooker).
Remove the chicken breast, set to the side to shred for soup/chili.
Strain the rest so you're left with just the delicious bone broth.
If storing for the next day or later that week, simply let it cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
If making to freeze, let cool completely before storing in a freezer-safe container.
