A nostalgic take on a childhood favorite featuring giant turkey meatballs baked in marinara sauce, served on a toasted Italian sub, topped with sauce, cheese, and arugula. This dish can also be served over pasta for a different twist!
Pour 24oz marinara sauce into the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish.
Use your hands to mix ground turkey with all of the ingredients listed above until well combined, then roll into large meatballs.
Bake at 375°F for 30-35 minutes, uncovered, until meatballs are cooked through.
Spread a little marinara sauce from the baking dish onto the bottom of the sub bread; slice and place a few meatballs on top.
Pour over more sauce and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
Place under the broiler for a few minutes to melt the cheese.
Toss arugula with dressing and pile it high onto the sub before serving.
